SDSF, together with its affiliates, ("Social development service foundation", "We" values the privacy of our customers. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is designed to explain how we collect, use, share or otherwise process Personal Information provided by and collected from you through your use of our platform and our website (https://socialdevelopmentservicefoundation.blogspot.com), applications, or services that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Service"). INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect Personal Information about you from various sources, as listed below. If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the United Kingdom (“UK”), “Personal Information” means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual and does not include data whereby personally identifiable information has been removed.
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE US
Account creation - When you register an account, we collect your contact information from you, including:

● Password
● Birth Date
● Email
● Phone number
● Address (optional)
● Location (Address, City, State, Province or Postal Code, Zip Code, Country)
● Resume (optional)
Communications – When you post comments, leave feedback or otherwise communicate with other users through our Service. Any content, including such comments, feedback, and notes as you choose to post through our Service are available to the public by default. When you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your name, email and phone number. If you contact us directly, we receive additional information about you. For example, when you email us, we will receive your email address, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and any other information you choose to provide.
Donations - If you make a donation or purchase a gift certificate, we collect payment details such as your credit card information and billing information as well as any information you choose to provide us (such as a description of why you have donated, the issues you care about in giving and volunteering, positive comments to the non-profit organization positive comments for the SDSF website, images, positive comments for social media, details about why you chose the non-profit organization, project, gift, any campaigns and SDSF). Depending on the nature of the donation, you may also provide us with information about yourself or third parties that may be considered sensitive under applicable laws, such as political opinions, health information or religious beliefs. When you provide such information to us directly, we may seek your consent, where appropriate, to process this information, unless you choose to provide such information to be published publicly in relation to your campaign or donation or otherwise.
Fundraising - If you create a fundraising page, gift registry or wishlist, you provide us with the information you choose to provide us in relation to your cause. For example, you can provide the fundraising title, the non-profit organization, project or gift that you are fundraising for and social media handle, choose relevant categories, upload images and describe your goal(s).
Volunteering - In addition, when you apply to be a volunteer or otherwise sign up for a volunteer opportunity or other promotion, we collect information that you choose to disclose, such as the name of the academic institution to which you attend, your job title and employment history, images from the volunteer opportunity, your personal goals, testimonials, comments and preferences for giving or volunteering opportunities.
Sharing campaigns or donations - When you choose to share your campaign and donation with family and/or friends, you may provide us with Personal Information relating to such third parties. We will request access to information stored in your email and mobile device address books, such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers of your contacts. You acknowledge and agree that you have the authority of the relevant third party for us to access and use the relevant third party information and that you have notified these third parties and informed them how their Personal Information is collected and used by SDSF to provide the Service.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY
Cookies - When you use our Service, we and our third-party service providers may collect information about your use of the Service through cookies, web beacons, web server logs and similar technologies (collectively “Cookies”).
The information collected in this manner includes:

INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM OTHER SOURCES
Partners. When you click on third party buttons or beacons (such as Facebook “like” or “share” buttons) on our Services, we obtain information from third parties such as Facebook. Information collected through third-party web beacons and buttons is collected directly by these third parties and not by SDSF.
Information collected by a third party in this manner is subject to that third party’s own data collection, use, and disclosure policies. Please see the “Third Party Services” section below for more information.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use the Information we collect:
● To operate, maintain, enhance, and provide features of the Service, to provide information that you request, to sign you up for our newsletter, to connect you through the matching program with volunteers, donors, donation opportunities, and sponsorship opportunities, and to respond to comments and questions, and otherwise to provide support to users.
● To understand and analyze the usage trends and preferences of our users, including by approximating user location through users’ IP addresses, to improve the Service, and to develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
● To contact you for administrative, legal or informational purposes, including by providing customer service or sending communications and to inform you about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
● For marketing, sales and advertising purposes, such as developing and providing promotional and advertising communications (such as emails and text messages) that may be relevant, valuable or otherwise of interest to you.
● For our business purposes, such as audits, security, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, fraud monitoring and prevention.
● To process payments you make in connection with donations and purchases of gift certificates.
● For compliance purposes, such as to enforce our Terms of Service or other legal rights, or as may be required by applicable laws and regulations or requested by any judicial process or governmental agency.
● To contact third parties when you have provided such third party information to us. We reserve the right to identify you as the person who has made the referral in any communications that are sent to them.
● For other purposes for which we provide specific notice at the time the information is collected.

We disclose Information that we collect through the Service to third parties in the following circumstances:

● To other volunteers, donors, and organizations in connection with the matching program.
● To other volunteers or non-governmental organizations to facilitate donations, and if you decide to volunteer for any opportunities.
● To payment processors in order to receive payment for donations and purchases of gift certificates through the Service.
● To a potential or actual acquirer, successor, or assignee as part of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
● If required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our terms and conditions; (e) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

DATA RETENTION
We store all Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Policy, or for as long as we are required to do so for backups, archiving, prevention of fraud and abuse, analytics, satisfaction of legal or regulatory obligations, or where we otherwise reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so. When deleting Personal Information, we will take measures to render such Personal Information irrecoverable or irreproducible, and the electronic files which contain Personal Information will be permanently deleted.

We use certain physical, organizational, and technical safeguards that are designed to maintain the integrity and security of information that we collect and maintain. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and thus we cannot and do not guarantee the security of your data.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

If you receive commercial email from us, you may opt-out via the “unsubscribe” link provided in each such email. You may opt out of receiving marketing and/or operational text messages at any time by sending an email to sdsf.srilanka@gmail.com indicating that you no longer wish to receive such texts along with the phone number of the mobile device receiving the texts OR by replying to any text message from us with “STOP” “END” from the mobile device receiving the messages. If you do not want Information collected through the use of Cookies, there is a procedure in most browsers that allows you to automatically decline Cookies or be given the choice of declining or accepting the transfer to your computer of a particular Cookie (or Cookies) from a particular site. YOUR EUROPEAN PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are in the EEA or UK, then unless otherwise indicated, SDSF is the entity responsible, or “data controller” for the processing of Personal Information in this Policy. In the EEA and UK, you also have the following additional rights:
● You may request access to and receive information about the Personal Information we maintain about you, update and correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information, restrict or object to the processing of your Personal Information, have the information anonymized or deleted, as appropriate, and exercise your right to data portability to easily transfer your Personal Information to another company. In addition, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including in your country of residence, place of work, or where an alleged incident took place.
● You may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us regarding the processing of your Personal Information, at any time, and free of charge. We will apply your preferences going forward and this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before you withdrew your consent.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age, and no part of our Service is directed to children. INTERNATIONAL CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFER
Social Development Service Foundations uses servers hosted in the Sri lanka. If you use the Service from the EEA, UK or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from Sri lankan law, please note that we may be transferring your information outside of your region in connection with the storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Service. We may also transfer your data from the LK to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Service. When we do so, we shall ensure that relevant safeguards are in place to afford adequate protection for your Personal Information. Further details regarding the relevant safeguards can be obtained from us on request.
